Four Fast and the Furious Projects in the Works At Peacock

NBCUniversal has officially shifted the Fast & Furious franchise into a new gear, announcing that four live-action series are currently in development for Peacock. The blockbuster news was delivered by Vin Diesel himself during the NBCUniversal upfront presentation on Monday morning, marking a massive expansion for the multi-billion-dollar "Fast Saga."

Addressing the crowd, Diesel confirmed that the streaming service will serve as the exclusive home for these new chapters. "Peacock is launching four shows in the Fast and the Furious universe," Diesel stated. While plot details remain under wraps, the move mirrors successful franchise models seen with Marvel and Star Wars.

Diesel is set to executive produce the first of these adaptations. The pilot for the flagship series will be penned by Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman. This duo brings a proven track record to the project, having previously collaborated on the NBC gritty police drama Shades of Blue. Daniels is currently a high-priority creator for the network, having recently secured a series order for a modern reimagining of The Rockford Files
